Pompeo reportedly meeting with top GOP strategist as he mulls 2020 Senate bid
The latest indication that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will run are reports that the secretary of state plans to meet Sunday with veteran Republican strategist Ward Baker to discuss what a campaign to fill the seat being vacated by Sen. Pat Roberts of Kansas. Roberts, a Republican, said earlier this month, that he would not seek re-election in 2020.
